Mission & Philosophy

At CAHELP, we foster collective collaboration among colleagues, local education agencies (LEAs), parents, students, diverse agencies, and the community to deliver essential programs and services to students with disabilities and children facing academic, and mental and behavioral health challenges in the high desert region. Each member of our organization brings unique skills and expertise, contributing to our mission of serving those in need. With a heartfelt dedication, our team endeavors to enhance the lives of children and families in our community and strive for achieving our mission of "The relentless pursuit of whatever works in the life of a child."

Calendar

The CAHELP calendar is a centralized hub for events, trainings, meetings, and workshops hosted through its three primary programs: Desert Mountain SELPA (DMSELPA), Desert Mountain Charter SELPA (DMCS), and Desert Mountain Children’s Center (DMCC). This integrated calendar provides families, educators, administrators, service providers, and community partners with easy access to upcoming opportunities for professional learning, parent engagement, special education support, and mental health resources.
