Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
About the CAC
The CAC is made up of parents, special and general education teachers, psychologists, consultants, students with disabilities, and representatives from private and public agencies. Members are nominated and appointed by school boards of member school districts and charter schools (also known as local education agencies) in our SELPAs. A majority of members are parents. This group advises the SELPAs and school boards of the educational needs of students with disabilities and helps to secure appropriate services for each individual. The CAC is a place where parents and members of the community can discuss concerns and resolutions as they relate to the quality of special education programs in the community. CAC meets four times during the year and everyone is welcomed to attend!
