A Commitment to Student Success
The CAHELP is committed to providing the needed resources and support to member local education agencies (LEAs). Each LEA is assigned a Program Specialist, who assists the LEAs in implementing high-quality special education programs that are student-centered, compliant with the law, and aligned with best practices. Their leadership and expertise help ensure that every student with a disability receive the services, supports, and educational opportunities they need to reach their full potential. They serve as a critical resource for LEAs by providing leadership, consultation, and technical assistance across all areas of special education, focusing on primary areas such as individualized education programs (IEPs), training and consultation, program support and compliance, and collaboration and communication.
