Family & Community Supports

The CAC is made up of parents, special and general education teachers, psychologists, consultants, students with disabilities, and representatives from private and public agencies. Members are nominated and appointed by school boards of member school districts and charter schools (also known as local education agencies) in our SELPAs. A majority of members are parents.

Our Outreach Team is here to support students and families by helping them overcome challenges and remove barriers to success. We collaborate closely with school districts across the High Desert. Our Outreach Specialists are assigned specific districts, where they partner with parent liaisons, family engagement staff, and school administrators.

Our CSPP is designed to give children aged 3 and 4 the best start as they transition to kindergarten. Throughout the program, students enjoy a holistic approach to learning that includes:

The Early Start Program is also known as the Infant/Toddler program providing services to children from birth to age 3. The program provides early intervention services and supports to help infants and toddlers with disabilities or delays in their development. If a parent wants to make a referral, they can do so by contacting the school district of residence or Inland Regional Center located in San Bernardino and can be reached by calling (909) 890-4711.

The Early Start Family Resource Network & Family Empowerment Center “Family Resource Network” provides support, resources, training and information to individuals and families who have children with developmental delays and disabilities.
