Connecting Families, Building Community

Our Outreach Team is here to support students and families by helping them overcome challenges and remove barriers to success. We collaborate closely with school districts across the High Desert. Our Outreach Specialists are assigned specific districts, where they partner with parent liaisons, family engagement staff, and school administrators. Together, we connect parents and caregivers with community resources, parent workshops, and information to help them better understand and navigate education services.

Our CAHELP Outreach Team also works with our Desert Mountain SELPA and Desert Mountain Children’s Center (DMCC) to access and share the latest information and provide strong support for parents, caregivers, preschool staff, and school teams.

Parent workshops

Our workshops are designed to support, empower, and engage families in meeting a wide range of needs. We provide parenting strategies, behavior management tools, and informational sessions to help families navigate special education, along with opportunities to strengthen family and community connections.
