CalWORKS Youth Employment Program

The goal of the CalWORKS Youth Employment Program (CYEP) is to offer Welfare-to-Work (WTW) customers the opportunity to:

  • Gain employment experience
  • Improve work skills
  • Maintain current work history
  • Develop self-sufficiency
  • Contribute to the economic stability of San Bernardino County

Eligibility

  • Customer is the age of 16-24 or older
  • Has an active CalWORKS and WTW program
  • General knowledge of the expectations associated with the workplace, including:
    • Attendance
    • Punctuality
    • Adhering to the workplace requirements
    • Appropriate dress/grooming
    • Accepting supervision
    • Dealing with co-workers appropriately
    • Accepting responsibility for his/her work and actions
  • At least three months of his/her CalWORKS 48-month Time Limit remaining, if applicable
