How is Structured Literacy tackled using the Orton-Gillingham (OG) methodology? OG is an approach to reading that is multi-sensory, phonetic alphabetic, analytic, structured, sequential, repetitive, cumulative, diagnostic and prescriptive. This course focuses on developing an OG lesson plan that primarily focuses on phonological awareness and phonics. Fluency, vocabulary and comprehension will also be discussed in relation to the OG approach.
