The Desert/Mountain SELPA is proud to introduce our new California State Recognition system for PBIS through the California PBIS Coalition (www.pbisca.org)

The recognition process is a system for acknowledging schools for PBIS implementation at all levels. This system is strengths based and is useful for new schools and for schools already currently implementing PBIS.

Based on level requirements, schools may earn Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum recognition. Schools interested in the 2016 California PBIS Recognition Process are required to:

1. Assess fidelity using the Schoolwide Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) (pbisapps.org) It’s a bronze level for assessing your fidelity!

2. Complete the on-line application by June 30, 2016 (www.pbisca.org)

Schools that apply and meet level requirements are acknowledged by:

  • Receiving a Letter of Recognition from the California PBIS Coalition
  • Display school name on California PBIS Coalition webpage
  • Receive a “medal” image and feedback from the level earned (bronze, silver etc.)to display on the school site’s website
